Micro-injections

Trunk injection capsules set into the base of an ash tree

For many of the problems that affect trees, a systemic injection is the best treatment — and for emerald ash borer it is the only one that works.

A trunk injection puts the product inside the tree, where it moves with the sap to the leaves and branches. Nothing is sprayed, nothing drifts, and the treatment lasts a season or more.

Emerald ash borer is now in Lakewood and across the metro, and an untreated ash will die. Injected on a two-year cycle, a healthy ash can be kept indefinitely. We also inject for other insects and for diseases like fireblight in crabapple and pear.

Dosing is by trunk diameter, and we keep every application on record — what, when, how much, and who applied it.
