Deep root fertilization

Feeder roots and soil at the base of a tree

Roots and the soil around them are the most important part of tree health. Deep root fertilization feeds both.

Front Range soils are heavy, alkaline and compacted, and lawn trees compete with turf for everything in them. Deep root fertilization injects a liquid fertilizer and soil conditioner directly into the root zone under pressure, where the feeder roots are, instead of leaving it on the surface for the grass.

We do it twice a year — a spring application as the tree leafs out, and a fall application after the leaves drop, when the roots are still active and storing for next year. Trees on a regular program hold their color longer, push better growth and shrug off stress that would set back an unfed tree.

It is one of the programs we renew every year. If your trees are already on one with us, you will hear from us in January.
