Wind damage?
Colorado’s weather changes in an hour, and the wind that comes with it can do real damage to a tree — a few limbs, half a crown, or the whole thing laid out across a yard overnight.
When it happens, call us. We have the equipment and the people to clear a downed tree safely whatever its size, including the ones that have come down on a house. And call us before you call your insurance company: documentation and a proper assessment are the key to any claim, and an arborist’s report lets you deal with the adjuster from a position of knowing exactly what happened and what it will take to put right.
The better outcome is the storm that does no damage. Trees that are at risk usually show it ahead of time — a weak union between two leaders, dead wood in the crown, a limb stretched out over the roof. Strategic pruning and bracing can often prevent a removal altogether, and structural problems are cheapest to fix when they are caught early.
